Alexandra Seaton
Alexandra Seaton TTL
Alexandra Seaton has extensive expertise as a trial lawyer on all issues. She has a special interest and sensitivity in dealing with issues involving children. Her skills extend to the forensic tracing necessary to determine accurate levels of support and property division in even the most complicated of matters.

Over her 20 years of practice, Alexandra has also developed a unique problem solving approach to reaching lasting settlements. She has also developed a specialization in same-sex relationships. Alexandra’s persistent message to clients is her dedication to resolving matters for them as quickly as possible. She has seen, over the years, the damage that can be done to the individual and the family unit by unresolved issues and lengthy litigation. She therefore utilizes any and all means whether it be mediation, counselling, arbitration or the court processes to move matters forward to resolution while respecting and understanding the needs of each individual client in the process. The secret lies in preparation and strategic consideration at all stages as the matter moves forward.

Alexandra has created a team to assist her in the care and management of clients with an eye to managing time and costs in the most effective way.

Alexandra has litigated at every level of the Ontario Courts on all issues of family law. Alexandra graduated fro the University of Ottawa (Common Law) with her LL.B. in 1987, and was admitted to the Bar in 1989. She spent her early years summering as a gardener at a Canadian zoo.

Alexandra maintains several professional memberships, lectured at the Institute for Family Law, the Special Lectures at the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Family Law Bar in Ottawa, and has also been a facilitator/presenter for the Family Information Sessions.
