Jeffery is the author of Canada’s number one and only comprehensive text devoted to the law of the child, Wilson on Children and the Law. He also edits Ontario Family Law REPORTER, a monthly digest and commentary widely read by the Family Law Bench and Bar in Ontario across the country.
Jeffery lectures across Canada and abroad, largely in relation to his extensive involvement with private non-governmental organizations. He spoke in San Diego at the first Tri-Nation Child Labour Conference convened under the North American Agreement on Labour Cooperation, and at 10th anniversary commemorative meeting of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Geneva on behalf of the Canadian Coalition on the Rights of Children. He also presented the 5th annual Lowery Lecture on Children’s Rights under the auspices of Defence for Children International Canada.
Jeffery graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 1978.
