Sydney joined Wilson Christen LLP, now Christen
Seaton Burrison Hudani LLP, in September 2018. Her practice comprises of
all areas of family law, including custody, access, property and support
disputes. Her background in family law has laid the foundation for Sydney’s
thoughtful commitment to her clients and her practical approach to resolving
Sydney is a passionate litigator where necessary but is also devoted to reaching creative out of court resolutions where possible.
Before joining Wilson Christen LLP, Sydney summered and articled at a prominent family law firm in Toronto. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. She graduated from Queen's University Faculty of Law in 2017, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.
Sydney was a teaching assistant for the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law Trial Advocacy Course in 2017. While in law school, Sydney was a caseworker at the Queen's Family Law Clinic and the Queen's Business Law Clinic. She also completed a legal research internship with the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund.
Sydney is on the Board of Directors for Young Women in Law, and is a member of other various professional organizations including the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates' Society, and the Ontario Bar Association.
Drawing from her previous life, in which she was a competitive downhill ski racer, Sydney brings to her legal career focus, dedication, and a willingness to take educated risks.
